Most endocrine diseases can go a long time without noticeable symptoms. However, it is known that later they cause changes that require constant treatment. Therefore, it is very important to detect and prevent such pathologies at an early stage and reduce the risk of complications. The Republican Specialized Endocrinological Scientific and Practical Medical Center includes specialized departments for children and adults with 302 beds. The number of daily visits to the consultative polyclinic is 500-600.
Every day more than 100 patients turn to a special call center opened in the center to get information on various issues. As a result of the introduction of the feedback system, the flow of citizens to the institution has decreased, and the transportation load has been reduced by 30-40 percent.
It is important that endocrinologists are sent to advanced clinics abroad for long-term practice. In particular, this year 30 employees of the center and regional branches returned after gaining knowledge and experience abroad.
Reconstructive and plastic and bariatric surgeries are widely implemented in the regions due to the mobilization of specialists of the center.
The information system “Diabetic Register” has been introduced in the endocrinology center. Thanks to this, a list of all patients diagnosed with this disease has been formed.
Of course, it is remarkable that such achievements are recognized not only in our country, but also at the international level. In particular, after almost 7 months of training, the Republican Specialized Endocrinology Research and Practical Medical Center will soon be awarded an international quality certificate.
